Pre-K Program (4 - 6 years old)
Overview
The Pre-K experience is critical, since children retain the most information when they actively participate in the learning process. Language activities include learning geography and culture, practicing fine motor skills by writing, vocabulary development, reading development, and creating sentences. Our mathematics activities include counting, place value, concrete abstraction, arithmetic tables, and geometry. We encourage children in the manipulation of concrete objects, support expression of creativity and individuality, and foster positive interaction with peers. Along with helping to build a strong academic foundation, we emphasize nurturing social-emotional development. Children are appropriately supported and encouraged to express their thoughts, feelings, and ideas in our school community. Our program helps children gain the advanced language arts, math, science, and geography lessons and life skills that they will use throughout their lives.
